This was another song that came all at once. I would say it has to be the most radio friendly song we've ever created, with a short run time and basic chord structure.

This song comes about sounding like a plea to someone when in fact the song is about reflecting upon yourself. When we go through hardships we tend to focus on how we could've changed the other person, instead of how we could be better to ourselves.

The question is, why don't you forgive me? The answer lies within yourself. Why don't we forgive ourselves a little easier and love a little more. Maybe that's part of the grand conditioning of the cosmos. We learn, we grow.

The chorus mentions seeing light come around the bend. This is a hint at an esoteric idea regarding the properties of life and light and their reaction together. I'll leave that one open ended for you all to ponder.
